Still on the look out for a new bass!
Since the other disaster with the J&D Luthiers contemporary bass and their weak necks, I am still bassless.
It seems Jade Australia no longer carries the neck thru model, but is still stocking the bolt on model!
They both retailed for the same price, but had a slightly different pick up config.
Maybe these were actually WORSE and they discontinued! I mean with a bolty you CAN so something with the neck, but a neck thru you can do bugger all really!
I think the Jade rep Lance, is coming in next week according to the boss. I will ask him then.
So anyway in the new cattledog, has an expanded TOKAI inventory, of the newer Fender and Gibson copies from Tokai China. MUCH better quality than before. NO more Ric copies either!
There IS Tokai Japan stock as well but its not in the printed catalogues, but could be ordered on request.

I am feeling real partial to the Hofner copy Viola bass. This WILL be vastly BETTER than the Douglas attempt in quality that Rondo has in stock. Comes with a case + 5 year warranty!
