Eddie Van Halen Sues Nike

Los Angeles California's KTLA is reporting that Eddie Van Halen has filed a copyright infringement suit with Nike over a Dunk Low design featuring red, white, and black striping on the side midsole claiming he was granted a 2001 copyright on the design as part of his "Frankenstein" guitar. The design is clearly reminiscent of the iconic instrument and EVH is likely worried about the potential commerical impact on his own line of Converse inspired shoes which prominently features the striped design.
