Soon, you'll be able to display the FrugalGuitarist.com logo with pride! The first batch of shirts is on the way and will be available by the end of the month. Quantities will be extremely limited and preordering will be available in a week or so. If the first run is a success, we'll be offering a variety of additional designs as well as holding design contests for users to submit their own FrugalGuitarist.com logo design the winner of which will have a limited production run and a portion of the proceeds donated to the charity of their choice.
Thank you all for the great suggestions to improve FrugalGuitarist.com. Here are some that I am considering for implementation:
Thrift Shop - much of the gear reviewed on the site is privately purchased and resold (at a loss) to recover expenses. Typically, I use eBay. However, this would be an internal shop where the actual reviewed gear would be for sale. Users could additionally list items for sale in an auction or classified style listing.
User Profiles - Many of you own much of the gear reviewed on FrugalGuitarist.com and have expressed an interest to post your gear photos. This would allow you to post pix of your frugal rigs and detail how you achieve your big tones on low bones.
Custom Shop - New series of articles based on guitar modification. Potentially, I may sell some affordable mod kits.
The October issue will feature a poll with the above and a few more ideas. The feature which receives the most votes from October to December will be implemented in 2009.
